Hi, I am preparing my tissues for Next Gen sequencing and need to RNase treat them but I can't seem to find high concentration DNase-free RNase for sale. I was just wondering where others get theirs from?
Different companies sell DNAse I for RNA treatment.
Thermo Fisher: 2,00 units (https://www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/AM2222) or 10,000 units (https://www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/AM2224)
Hi Michele, thank you for your reply! Unfortunately I am not looking for DNase, I am needing DNase-free RNase. Need to treat my genomic DNA with RNase to get rid of any contaminating RNA.
For some reason I wasn't alerted that you answered my question! Thank you! I ended up going with the Qiagen RNase A but upon their recommendation I will be heating the enzyme for 15 minutes at 80 degrees and then cooling it to room temperature before use. Qiagen doesn't guarantee their RNase A (100mg/ml) to be DNase free so I will be heating it to denature any possible contaminants.
