I have curiously seen little evidence of disabled people in Portugal where I now live, but in the UK there was plenty and immense help and concern from public authorities and people in general: access to buildings, parking, acting in general with courtesy.

I find your comment interesting as in Spain one also does not find so many disabled people on the streets - but when one enters an old age home, most of the inhabitants are disabled in some way or another. In Spain, there is still the tendency for families to look after the aged in their homes so people who land up in old age residencies, as a certain subsection. Does this have something to do with disablement? Oldage residencies in Spain are nothing like the retirement villages I have seen in South Africa, which really promote a very active way of life for the residents. Residencies in Spain make me feel as though the elderly are being sent there to get them out of the way.

I am not sure Jaeeun Jeong how this helps with your inquiry, but it is what I observe here.

Thank all of you for helping me :) That is a real fact that in the UK, it is really hard to find people with disabilities in the streets, however, the facilities are truly well developed than Korea. I was wondering there is any article or dissertation which categorised general people's reaction when they encounter any products for disabilities such as feel uncomfortable and be gentle..... But, it is so hard to identify the emotions in detail.
