Datastream has wide coverage of global financial asset data. Another possibility: Mathematica. Both will normally require a license, but Mathematica now comes bundled with Raspberry Pi.
Thank you Sir. I have already searched in Yahoo Finance for the data and it does not give the JSE data. However, i have found one site where in you have manually give each day and copy the info to Excel sheet. I could do it for 10 years. Here are the links that give data on JSE:
Can you provide me data of FTSE/JSE for 1st January,2015 to 31st December, 2015?I checked in investing.com. But, it seems data is coming till August 21, 2015. Remaining days data are not coming. Any clue?
If you are unable to get the data from investing.com you could also get the same from WSJ.com. However, in WSG you need to enter the daily date to extract the data. Whereas in investing.com you have got an option to copy the data to excel file with the date mentioned in the historical data.
Anyway PFA herewith the data for JSE market from 1st Jan 2015 to 31 Dec 2015.
Can u provide me data of JSE/FTSE from 1st Jan 2007 To 31st Dec 2016 . I have checked in Investing.com but there data is comming for Nov 2011 to Aug 2015. Is there any other website to downloa data for 10 Years.
I collected JSE data from two sources one is wsj site and the other is from investing.com site. In investing.com you can copy the data by giving the details of period from when to when. While in Wsj we need to manually type the date and copy each observation to excel. I have the data of JSE closing prices for the period of 2005-2015. Hope this may help you. Otherwise, as mentioned earlier you can go to the URL link and manually collect the data points.
