I want to work on thiomers and I need these, but I am finding it difficult to find them. In fact, they are not available on the market, can anybody help me in this regard?

Thiolated polymers are currently not available commercially. You have to synthesise them. There are plenty of protocols on their synthesis could be found in the literature

In thiolation of polymers ususally EDAC (1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide) is used as activator / reagent while cystine and polymers with -COOH are used. can we used any thing else instead of EDAC??? i mean alternative to this reagent??
