We are conducting research on combined heat and power systems and we are looking at smartgrid and microgrid models for rural villages in African and India.
We managed to find one or two simulink simulators, but was hoping to find more.
I find DIgSILENT PowerFactory very useful, relatively easy to use once you understand the tutorials and quite versatile with respect to non-conventional applications.
Other widely-used power system simulators are PowerWorld, PSCAD and PSSe.
Dear Abishek and Anne, thank you so much for the replies, truly helpfull.
I visited Prof Andrea Mammoli at the University of New Mexico and he showed me their Smartgrid and Microgrid simulations tools. I think the one was developed on a neural network platform. Will get more details.
I read somewhere, neural network software requires more learning to fully operate and are more complicated to develop. It is interesting, I'm waiting for more details!!
