I need a properly formatted .docx file for submitting an article to the Expert Systems with Applications journal. Any information or suggestion regarding this topic is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thanks everyone for helping out. I understand that I won't have to use any predefined format, a simple word file with all the necessary information will be fine.
However, sometimes (and for some people) it might be helpful/ satisfactory to observe the final outlook of the paper as it's being written. If you're someone who would like to do the formatting yourself, then here is a template I found:
I stumbled upon this question when I was looking for the latex template for the Expert Systems with Applications journal. When I read the comments that no formatting is necessary I submitted the paper by using the default Elsevier template. However, when we received the decision letter it stated that we failed to completely comply with their guidelines. Since I didn't find the template online I decided to create it myself. If anyone is still looking for the latex template you can download it from GitHub. You can also find it in the template section in Overleaf. I hope someone finds it useful :)
