Hi. I've been searching for an extensive chart, explaining the power required for a type of laser beam (CO2 laser in particular) to cut through different thicknesses of a specific substance (e.g. steel), yet I didn't find charts with enough data (I couldn't find the substance thickness I'm looking for).

As an example, I'm seeking the power required for a CO2 laser to cut through 30 millimeters of steel.

I do appreciate it if anyone points me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I found this thesis titled "Laser Cutting of Austenitic Stainless Steel with a High Quality Laser Beam" that has data similar to what I'm looking for (look in the Appendixes), but thicknesses over 6 millimeters aren't covered (link provided below).
