I am currently performing radiosensitivity assays on tumor cell lines, both using clonogenic survival and cell viability (cell titer glo). I was wondering whether there are some guidelines on how to classify radiosensitivity. For example, a decrease in 50% survival after 3 Gy irradiation is considered radiosensitive and to what extent (low, medium, high)? I will compare different cell lines, to compare radiosensitivity in subtypes of the tumor type of interest.

A good place to start would be Eric Hall's textbook Radiolbiology for the Radiologist, 8th Ed. Radiation sensitivity is discussed in Chapter 5 Fractionated Radiation and the Dose Rate Effect. Radiation sensitivity is dependent on a number of factors, including cell type, dose rate, fractionation schedule, presence or absence of oxygen, genetics (presence or absence of a function ATM gene), presence or absence of various drugs, etc.
