Thank you both. I have deleted my article and have sent requests for publication to both subjects. In the future I will ask first. I assume that neither US nor EU law requires the use of specific (boilerplate) text in such requests.

Dear Béatrice, Thank you for your example of research using informed consent. While I respect Viktor Frankl's difficult life experiences and the therapy he devised, some patients may prefer therapeutic approaches that are essentially positive rather than negative in nature.

For example, modern Advaita/Nonduality is a direct path to recognizing the essential joy and unboundedness of our true self. Teachers like Mooji and Rupert Spira lead those who are suffering into the direct recognition of who they really are: unbounded consciousness. This lifts them instantly out of their misery, providing access to their internal and natural contentment.

A second example of a positive approach to improving life is transcending, which is an effortless procedure (which I happen to teach) that provides a unique fourth state of the physiology and of consciousness that dissolves the stress and strain stored in the nervous system as a result of overloads of experience. Rather than encouraging the somewhat abstract psychodynamics of choice and of will, transcending physically dissolves stress through deep rest, leaving the nervous system strong and flexible, and life lived in peace and happiness in spite of life challenges.

I am glad that there are many approaches to help people lead a better life. I wish that more information was available to the public about the wide range of approaches they can choose from, including logotherapy, advaita, and transcending.
