Usage of the terms does seem to vary. I would say that team performance is what the team has done. Team effectiveness reflects the quality of the performance, or the degree to which the performance meets expectations.

I agree with Steven. Team performance, to me, relates more to a measurable output that has occurred. A team may perform to a certain 'standard' - but it doesn't mean to say that the team works well or is effective; the performance output could have occurred by 'chance'. 

Innovatons are created in teams and networks.

What's the difference between Team Performance and Team Effectiveness ?

Team performance refers to outcome demonstrated by the team e.g. from the perspective of meeting certain work / scope quality, timeliness, costing / pricing target etc.  Team effectiveness refers to how effective the team works together e.g. how team members' roles complementing each other, how cohesive the team is, team work, esprit de corps etc.  With proper guidance from management & other contributing factors, team effectiveness can impact team performance.

Measuring team-related performance can be approached in at least four ways. Two of those approaches measure performance at the individual level and two measure performance at the team level. Team Effectiveness is ideal if you want to:                         

   1  monitor your team’s strengths and challenges

    2 create space for open and honest dialogue within the team

I'd replied your message sent to me earlier.  Also want to share 1 more point.  For terms like team performance, project team performance, team effectiveness, project team effectiveness etc.  Different scholars / researchers might define them differently / slightly different according to their research needs.  What I would like to suggest you to do is to perform your own literature review rigorously to understand what are the most common definition for the terms you need to use in your research.  Then provide your operational definition for those term in your research so that reviewers / examiners understand the use of those terms in your research context.  Wishing you all the best.
