you should have a look to Edward Twitchell Hall (1914-2009) books. ( “The hidden dimension”, etc.) He was an american anthropologist who accomplished several cross-cultural studies. due to a cultural clash or gap with Japanese and other cultures, he was engaged by USA Government to better understand and succeed to settle business with them. So Hall developed concepts such as social cohesion and proxemics and mad clear how different people of different cultures deal in their personal spaces.

Try the Intercultural Communication reader by Samovarov et al. In the 40th edition there  are several articles on intercultural communication in the business setting (by Kazuo Nishiyama and Michael Hinner) Other articles might be helpful as well. 

I would advise you to check the "Cross-cultural Management textbook" edited a few years ago with the insight of leading experts in this field.

There are many aspects of communication which differ from culture to culture, including how loud we talk, the directness with which we speak, how much emotion we express in various situations, the rules for turn taking, the use or avoidance of silence, and many non-verbal aspects of communication like posture, eye contact, proximity, touching, tone of voice, etc. that occur almost totally beneath our conscious awareness.
