I am trying to plot dielectric characteristic of (Ba,Ca)(Ti,Zr)O3 from temperature range 50-250oC for frequencies ranging from 1kHz - 1MHz. the general trend shows that the value of dielectric constant decreases from 1kHz to 1MHz. but in our case the trend follows up to 100kHz but suddenly at 1MHz the value shoots above that of 1khz. The dimensions of the measured sample: thickness 1.74mm and diameter 7.86mm. The measurement was taken by Hioki-Hitester LCR meter. and the used sample holder is made up of brass.
1) the problem could be related to the resistivity of your electrodes.
it is not low enough.
2) Just take some other electrode materials, say a piece of teflon, or alumina, and
apply the same electrodes and see if the same thing happens.

We observed a similar trend, when ignoring the magnetic properties of the material at the calibration stage. We used open-ended coaxial probe method.
