The kinetic theory of gases, one I have some knowledge of, begins with microscopic particles and proceeds thoroughly statistically to build properties of gases thought of as continuous bodies without any hole or discontinuity. Between individual, or a few at most, particles and the large-scale body of the same, there lies the link that on one side connects us to the world as it exists around (phenomenology) enabled through observation and disconnects us from the other that's synonymous to nothingness! Is it possible to give this link some concrete representation or call it some demon until we identify it like the one that ultimately was caught up and named 'entropy.'
