3D gait analysis laboratory generates a huge amount for the subject.For many subjects such normals and abnormals gait, what's the best way to store these data so that we can do different statistical processing on them later. should we save the gait cycle data as rows or columns Are there any software for gait data warehousing?

For Accelerometer-based data: Raw x,y,z data in columns in a binary format, would be useful to translate that into a .CSV file format. Those data can then read by Matlab, R or Octave for gait phase analysis and determination of step time, stance time etc. Once those characteristics are determined it would be useful to store them in a spreadsheet (.XLS) in rows, where each row is a participant. Those spreadsheet data could then be exported to SPSS (and/or R) for a thorough statistical examination between groups/participants
For instrumented walkway data (GaitRite): once in the spreadsheet and examined in a Pivot table, exported to SPSS or R.

Warehousing of data can be a very complex task, as there are many factors to consider. Depending on the size of the dataset you are warehousing, the task could be relatively straightforward (i.e. spreadsheet), or it could be quite involved (MySQL, NoSQL, indexed filesystems etc...).
I would recommend first looking at the anticipated future needs for the data. Will it be necessary to have multiple people accessing the data? Do you need documentation or categorical data to accompany the gait cycle data? If you think that you will need a lot of accompanying documentation, then a more categorical/searchable warehousing method would make sense (like SQL, as an example).
I would recommend reading about SQL and other database technologies, as this will give you a sense of the options for storing and managing data in the long term.

I would recommend that those data can read by Matlab, a developpment of a specific routine for gait phase analysis and determination of the variables (e.g. step time, stance time). To verify the statistics, I recommend the SPSS for a thorough statistical examination between groups/participants, you will can une ANOVA with repeated measures.
