I want to know if there is any research in concrete as a floor system in high temprature, have a good strength as well. we want to use this floor system in a place like a shopping steel center.
Concrete exposure to a temperature of 1000 Celsius (C) will lose the bending/ tensile strength, the bond strength, the shear or torsional strength, the compressive strength. The melting point the carbon steel is about [1371-1540] Celsius (C). Reinforcing steel cannot sustain this temperature. However, clay material can resist this range of temperature. The strength of clay increases with the increment of the temperatures. Therefore, you have to investigate how to use clay material in the floor system.
