Dear Willy:
I would like to see art schools interact more with other academic disciplines. Students should be encouraged to explore any other areas that might be relevant to either their basic formation and personal interests or to specific aspects of a creative project.
To understand what we call "art," it is important to construct a scientifically based vision of what we are: symbolically oriented primates interacting with our cosmic, geographic, cultural and social environments. The most coherent and well-developed theoretical perspective that we have at hand, I think, is embodiment theory. I am attaching the link to a bibliography that I have been building for the last few years, for a graduate seminar called "Art in the embodied mind."
Once we understand what is going on with ourselves and our innate capacity for creating and feeling aesthetic experiences (in a broad, nontraditional sense of this phrase), we will have a more solid foundation upon which to experiment with the more intuitive aspects of our nature.
It's like color theory on a macro scale: you can create without it, from a naive perspective, but if you master the physical and mental aspects of color perception, you have conceptual tools that permit a more sophisticated use of color to create specific kinds of aesthetic responses. Color theory is part of the curriculum at most art schools, but much more is needed, as vision science deals with much more than color, and art is created and experienced with the entire body, not just the eyes.
An academically trained artist should be able to go beyond a limited, purely intuitive approach, and have a more complex and informed conceptual and technical toolbox at his disposal. Some artists may then choose to work in a naive way, but this should be done by choice, not because of a lack of alternatives.
Of course, the Eurocentric perspective in art history limits and distorts our understanding of art as a fundamental aspect of human existence, and should be discarded. It is a vestige of colonialism. The same may be said of traditional Western philosophy, including aesthetic theory. It is fine for looking at the history of ideas, but it is out of phase with recent advances in consciousness theory and related fields.

Well, some answers from an Analytical point-of-view
1. More pratical, less theories
2. Pratical, emphasis either on history or on current events. Depends on the dynamic chosen of each class.
3 More Analytical (Ziff, Weitz), less Hegel and idealism

5. Being a school without rules about the right or wrong. The students must pass in every artistic language-game of his interess.

7 As a tutor. He/she isn't the masterpiece of knowledge.
8 Crucial. Art didatics needs more attention in graduate courses. They will be the professores of future.
