I want to mix DMSO and L-ascorbic acid with the goal to dissolve calcium salts under the skin, basically want to treat a condition called calcinosis cutis on a patient who may loose his leg if we cannot treat his severe calcium salt plaques under his leg skin where he has large ulcers. I was thinking to use L-ascorbic acid as it is a weak acid and DMSO is a solvent/transporter. I am confused with DMSO effect on pH and I would appreciate you expert's input on how I can assure that I can achieve my goal at the tissue level? What concentration do you suggest? and do you suggest any other acid besides or instead of L ascorbic acid? Thanks,
