I am looking for a method to select a specific size of silica particles (spheres) from a broad range of mixture with different particle size. I need to be selective in the cut-off. I have tried mechanical sieving both in dry and wet form, but its quite laborious, time consuming and lot of water wastage (wet sieving). Can any one suggest any equipment or method for large scale separation (around 10 Kg) ?

@ Hien..my main source of silica particles has a broad particle size range and I want to narrow and selectively separate a specific size...and not mineral separtion just particle separation
@Benjamin..I dont want to reduce the size of my particle further..but just separate the bigger size particles from the smaller size particles..can you send me a link please.
We are using them to sieve spherical alumina particles to separate them by size (not reduce the size as the company name might imply). It doesn't look like they have a website but our contact person there is:

Years ago I faced a similar problem in obtaining a certain particle size range from natural product pumice stone which had been mined and crushed. This material was to be used as a support for a chemical catalyst. It was not practical to get the desired fraction by the methods you tried, but I was able to go to a local particle classification firm to have them screen the desired fraction from large samples of feed. Try your local aggregate or building supplies vendors who supply to the cement/concrete trade and I am sure you will meet with good results.
