Livability stands for local quality of life and citizen satisfaction in terms of education, environment, stability, healthcare, and infrastructure. Livable Melbourne for instance, is the outcome of a development, policy and planning path, while today is the showpiece, the workplace, and the venue for the young and restless to play. In this respect, this workshop aims to demonstrate how web applications and Apps can enhance city’s quality of life and citizen satisfaction (i.e., from smart service delivery; from transactions with the local government and utilities; from the existence of local online gaming, training, entertainment, business etc.).
