Jayson, you are quite right. The bull can be sent to a rehabilatation centre or even to zoo. From the question, it is not clear whwther the bull go on ramapgae round the year or is it a seasonal phenomenona sobserved during "musth". The bull in musth can be controlled to great extent by the sedation. I hope the Authority had already tried this and failed. If not sedation during those periods could be a viable alternative. Whatever, in no case killing is never the best option.

But this particular bull is different, last year the government decided to kill it, also fired on him, but he escaped. This year again he started killing people. We are still chasing the elephant to capture (sedate) and collar him this time.
