I want to treat the NaOH pellet with the hydrogen plasma. But I don't know about the reaction that will happen during this treatment. If anyone knows, please help me.
I'm not sure what you mean for hydrogen plasma, but I did in the past the titanium oxide ore analysis for metals content and assay by fusion with NaOH pellets using a propane burner for melt the pellets.
I also used to put in contact the flame with the NaOH and I didn't see any particular reaction .
At limit the NaOH can lose one molecular of water and became oxide.
If you can explain to me what is the H2 plasma (sorry for my ignorance) maybe I can help you better.
If anyone can help, I would grateful. I would like to selectively reduce an ester to the aldehyde in the presence of a lactam ring. So far I am getting a dialdehye when DIBAL-H is used. Do you know if this can be done in one step ?
