If the MPN after 90 hours is around 500, what will be the MPN values after 24 and 48 hours?
FYI It's a greywater sample with relatively low contamination.
First MPN of what? total or fecal? MPN is a dilution to extinction method and is scored as being a positive tube if there is turbidity and gas production in the inverted tube. It is a time sensitive method so it will probably produce more positive tubes with time. The method cannot show less positive tube with time as was the previous answer suggesting.
