I think this impact can only be positive as they can transfer their organisational and creativity skills to coding to further develop their critical thinking and computational skills. The latter would help to show that they are just as capable in coding as the boys.

The diminishing rate of women and girls (especially in Ghana) in computer science is alarming and this has prompted a lot of studies to document the missing links. It is time for us to do something about it. Introducing coding to girls is a step in the right direction. The impact of programming (Coding) on Computational and Critical thinking capabilities of girls may largely dependent on the implementation channels you adopt, as a researcher, to empower this girls.
