I do not have the acces to the paper, and I'm not sure if they state what was the exact efficiency of theis synthesis. Everyone that is citing their paper is stating that the efficiency was low, but how low? 0,1% or 1%? Thank you for stating and exact number.

The author states that the cyclization yield was 20..60%, but what was the efficiency of the whole process? Everyone is writing in their papers, that the reaction used by Johnson and Kay lacks efficiency, but when you compare it to Gross's 8% with his methods this makes no sense. Why most of people use the Gross's method not the original Kays method?
