We use an SC400 supercontinuum from Fianium, together with their AOTF in order to select desired wavelengths to use with our setup. Recently we have noted that AOTF is passing also an parasitic band at ~590nm, regardless of what the settings of the AOTF are. Even when AOTF is switched off this yellow beam appears. It is located in the same place as the output beam as the desired wavelength (so no spatial filtering is applicable here) and is intense enough to distort any measurements that we want to conduct. Has anyone observed such a behavior of a AOTF or maybe has some idea what is going on? Is the AOTF broken or is it normal for such kind of device to behave like this?
