My team is designing a dual channel microfluidic chip that runs air and water. I think we've decided on the NE1000 syringe pump for it's versatility and feedback control. We will be ordering the anabox controller, as well.
I've had no luck finding flow rate sensors that definitely work with air. Some of the pump manufacturers I spoke with said their flow rate sensor might work with air but I'd be better off monitoring the pressure difference.
I'm looking for an analog pressure sensor that works with air or water. Do you have any suggestions?
I am not exactly sure if this will work for you, but the sensors from this company are reliable. Take a look at "Sensiron LS32-1500".
You may consider for instance capacitive, piezo-electric, or piezo-resistive (strain gauge type like) pressure sensors.
