When RSS loss or QoS degradation occurs, we need to do a handoff to the best network. What kind of handoff is done (soft handoff or hard handoff) by WiFi, WiMAX and WCDMA networks?

Wi-Fi networks do hard handoff, essentially because 802.11 specify that a client can associate with no more than one access point at any time so you have to break a connection and then make another.
