I want to use the paper (cellulose/paper made of elephant dung etc.) that will last for about 5-6 months in soil and after that it biodegrades on its own.
So, is there any kind of paper that will last for about 5-6 months or is there any treatment that we can give to normal paper so that it will last for 5-6 months?
There is probably some polymer coating that will
protect the paper until the polymer itself degrades or dissolves. If the untreated paper is readily degraded, it will then biodegrade fairly quickly.
the problem is that you have to know your conditions. The same coating in cold dry conditions will last longer than in hot wet conditions.
so look into the possible coatings and then you may have to do some experiments to determine the coating and thickness that will work In the expected conditions. If you are lucky someone else will have done some work on this.
