Hi, I am a student whose project is about social behavior. I want to know if there is any test can be used to meausre social interactions with peers in adolescents. The test is good to be a game that can be used in computer. Thanks.
One simple way would be to ask them to name their friends with whom they have talked face-to-face outdoor in last seven days. How many friends were named in the first two minutes? How many of them are of his/her age +(-) 5?
Order the answer of these two questions and rank them in descending. Highest score will indicate better social interaction.
Hi Rupayan! Thanks for your responding. My subjects are more than 10 years old. Do you think it is fesiable to use these two quesitons on teenages? Because they can have social interactions with friends by social APP and low scores of these two questions may not fully means they have low social interactions. Rupayan Pal
Interaction with others (including with fictitious characters) through APPs and face-to-face interaction are very different in nature and they have very different implications on persons' psychology as well as on social bondage. So, it largely depends on the purpose of your study.
