I have administered the ProQoL-5 and have three dependent variables (compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress). This scale is a likert scale 1-5, and I have total average scores for each of the three sub scales (eg average level of compassion satisfaction, burnout, sts). First, I would like help if this data is ordinal, or is it interval and therefore continuous, as there are conflicting opinions about how type of data this is.

I also have 10 independent variables. These are categorical. For instance, age is 18-24, 25-34, 35-44 etc. Education list various educational levels from GCSE to PhD. All independent variables have more than 2 categories expect when I have asked if participants have completed trauma-informed training (yes/no). I want to examine whether these demographic and work-related independent variables are associated with compassion satisfaction, burnout and secondary traumatic stress. I have read that t-test, anovas, and chi-square will work, however I am still a bit confused. Any help would be extremely appreciated as this is for my final year research project.
