What is your dependent variable?

At first glance, this is a simple analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA). Of course, it needs more explanation from you.

I have 5 groups - I think they are independent of each other.

I think the dependent variable(s) would be the digital literacy scores - in which case comparing them with each other wouldn't work?

I am also looking at factors such as age and educational background -so I think these would be the independent variables?

I also have a very small sample size of 15 participants.

Madeleine Lovich If you want to examine age and education as factors influencing your model and analysis, then use a (one-way) analysis of covariance in which age and education are considered as covariates. This is easy to do using SPSS software.

Also, just to clarify, it is a within-participants design (so scores are all from the same group of participants). Does this affect the test?

Would it matter if the scores don't have a normal distribution?

I will recommend you use the one-sample t-test to estimate the extent of rating per aspect of the dependent variable. Using the t-value pertaining to each aspect (as determined by the analysis) you can rank the aspect with the highest rating and draw your inference from there.

So would this involve doing a t test for each score, so 5 t tests in total?
