As Andreas and Marc noted, it is artificial. The patterns are so sharp to the end where they are supposed to fade away and the discontinuity of the pattern and arrangement on the neck is so artificial
I agree with all the above; it was probably sold (and bought?) as a tiger skin, but the stripes are all too regular, and the transition neck-body is obviously artificial. I think such things can be found frequently in China; I was once offred a tiger skull which was very obviously just the skull of a big dog.
Difficult to say what species it is without some scale. My guess is some sort of antelope/goat skin, with stripes painted on to make it look like a tiger.
