A Client came to me for therapy who's husband was having an extramarital affair. she told me that she had seen a therapist before me and the therapist had told her that "that is just what men are like".  I consider this to be a very inappropriate thing to say to a client. Is it better to tell my client that the other therapist had said something "unreasonable"? should I say that I totally disagree with the other therapist? And that not all men are like that and it is not something that she should tolerate?

Thank you

Ibrahim
