What should be the dosage for dietary vitamin D supplementation to Wistar rats during pregnancy?

I am planning an animal experiment (Wistar Rats) on vitamin D3 supplementation - during pregnancy. The control diet consists of 1000IU of vitamin D3. What should be the dosage for dietary vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy. Supplementation is through dietary means.

Will be good to know the baseline results for 25OHD before making the decision on the dosage. The supplementation period is important as well.
