Optimal healthcare coverage is highly dependent upon medical and paramedical human resource. While multiple surveys do demonstrate some statistics on that as targeting differently by different authorities but still i guess there is lack of understanding between optimal human resource provision with respect to population.

I am not sure about population statistics, but I believe if we export our all incompetent doctors and import few hundred well qualified, competent, honest, and kind doctors our healthcare will improve exponentially :) You know clinical decision support systems in developed countries are better then our so called doctors.
We face the problem of greed and love of money for doctors without the basic attention to the health of the patient with the knowledge that it is a humanitarian profession basically ...
In my country, the number of doctor is too many. However, the quality of medical service is under question. Furthermore, as mentioned by @Salam Jassim Hmood, they are mostly working as doctors to gain money rather than considering their moral obligations toward the patients.
In Nigeria, one physician to 6,000 patients but the WHO recommendation is one primary health care physician to at most 1,000 patients.

According to World Health Organization WHO standard there should be 1 Physician per 1000 Population Approximately. Staff Nurse numbers varies depending on Condition of Patients as ICU needs 1:1 or 1:2 Ratio but in wards it could go upto 1:8 means
About 5,000 deficit for physician -patient ratio in Nigeria.
