Glycerol with Boric acid form glycerol acid complex reaction with interaction of OH group with Boron.

Polyethylene glycol bearing same type groups would show same type of complex reaction.

Heating of such components may enhanced rate of reaction as per kinetic principle of endothermic reaction but there must be consideration on temperature which should not alter the characteristic of components/intermediate or final product.
