In Netherlands coastal saline soil peat soil is a problem soil which contains undecompesed organicmatter waterlogged soil situation which may be rich in iron and elemental sulfur may be characterized as acid sulfate soil and acidity of soil about pH 3.0 due to presence of sulfate and iron and submerged soil situation converted in to FeS .In submerged soil situation sulfur may be deficient in soil. In these soil situation due to undecompesed organicmatter mineralization may be ceased . Immobilzation of nutrients due to submerged and strongly acid soil transformation of nutrients by microorganisms may be minimised for soil available plant nutrition. In acid sufate soil use of soil amendments like lime or dolomite to maintain favourable soil pH about 6.5 for microorganisms and alternate wetting and drying of soil may improve fertility and productivity of soils improvement of airation favourable for mineralisation of nutrients and elemental sulphur to SO4 as available plant nutrition in coastal Netherlands .
After green revolution in the twentieth century in the world to food, fiber, fuel , shelter for the growing population of planet Earth ; indiscriminate use of ground water , synthetic specially high analysis nitogenous fertilizers like urea fertilizers as substituted to protein nutrtion for living beings compre to organic nitrogen fixation by microorganisms specially Rhiobia, Azotobacter from the atmosphere about 78 % elemental nitrogen , synthetic plant protection chemicals polluting environment of planet earth. So, toxicity of synthetic nitrogen as narrate to nitrosomnous to cancer in living beings .At present urea nitrogen to protein in living body about 90 % .So, popularization of organic nitrogen trough legumes cropping and biofettilizer in organic farming and conventional agricultiral with 50 % organic fertilizers and 50 % chemical fertilizers should be popularised to maintain carbon sequestration in soil -clay-humus essential for sustainable soil fertility and productivity of crops.Use of organic plant protection chemicals instead of synthetic plant protection chemicals to minimise heavy metal toxicity like cadmium to heart, liver and kidney damage, arsenic and nickel to cancer, lead to brain damage, chromium to hair fall, murcury to nerv damage etc.
Soil pollution because of the presence of toxic chemicals in soil in high enough concentrations to pose a risk to human health and/or the ecosystem particularity in rural areas where people depends on agriculture.. Soil contamination or soil pollution as part of land degradation is caused by the presence of xenobiotic chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. It is typically caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals like fertilizers insecticides , or improper disposal of waste in our country(Sudan),Because our country is agricultural country we need to search deeply on this issue.
