Dear Madhukar, my second option was to use NaH however it's not available here and the closest that i found is NaBH4. I was thinking of using NaOH. do you think it will serve as the strong base as sodium methoxide?
Sodium methoxide is a moderately nucleophilic organosoluble base. I cannot tell you if NaOH is an appropriate alternative without knowing what you are using it for.
In general NaOH has poor solubility in most solvents and can give unwanted side products due to a propensity for base mediated hydrolysis.
Tell us a little more about what you need it for, the pka required for the proton abstraction and the solvent conditions and reaction conditions and then an alternative will present itself
Reflux NaOH in pentyl alcohol (n or iso) with Din-Stark equipement to separate water. When separation will complet you can use obtained solution of sodium pentoxide for simple condensations (1,3-diketone synthesis, Darsan reaction ect).
I am trying to react alpha beta unsaturated ketone with guanidine hydrochloride. The journal that I'm using as reference require the use of DMF and sodium methoxide. However since i don't have the access to sodium methoxide, i was wondering if i can use other base such as KOH or NaOH in exchange instead. Another journal suggested the use of NaH but my lab does not provide that chemical as well.

You could try NaOH but it probably isn't appropriate. Although it will deprotonate the guanidine hydrochloride, the byproduct of water will result in significant concentrations of guanidinium hydroxide which may interfere as you generally want free guanidine.
You will probably be better off with a non-hydroxide base. NaOH/pentyl alcohol dean stark is a nice idea if you don't have access to many reagents. Na metal and MeOH is more reliably anhydrous, if somewhat dangerous.
You can prepare sodium methoxide by reacting freshly cut sodium in methanol. You can use triethyl amine in acetonitrile. It depending up on the nature of the reaction.You can use piperdine also.
