I would argue that the Agora is one of the non-textual symbols of democracy - an open and public space to discuss and decide public affairs. The maybe most actual contemporary figuration of the Agora is the Swiss "Landsgemeinde" which is practiced in several Swiss cantons as an assembly of all eligible citizens to discuss and decide on legislation
The Statue of Liberty (June 17, 1885) is another well-known symbol that reminds us of democracy. It is a symbol of freedom, justice, and the pursuit of happiness, all of which are essential principles of democracy. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the United States and is a reminder of the friendship between two democracies.
While the Statue of Liberty has already been mentioned, I'd also suggest the Lincoln Memorial, in Washington D.C..
