What negative effects may cause metals like Fe, K, Na contaminating Electrolytic MnO2 which is used as cathode material in Zn - MnO2 batteries?

I'm looking for EMD which will be used in production of cathodes in alkaline Zinc - MnO2 batteries. Different suppliers offer materials with differrent contamination of Fe, Na and K. I want to know how they can affect on work of battery, and what possible negative effects they can cause?
