What might be possible reasons for decrease in electrocaloric effect?

In my ceramic samples, the values of ΔT decrease with doping. The pure sample shows appreciably good values of ΔT but with Fe doping, its value decreases? What might be possible reasons for this decrease? Does such type of samples can be of technological importance?
