Statistical analysis, such as multivariate regression perhaps, using country data from the World Bank. Many have done this analysis using this basic methodology.
The methodology will depend on the nature of the data as well as their measurements. Is it a panel study? You have take all these into consideration when deciding on the methodology.

Research methodologies along with their possible combinations are countless (ex. swot analysis, pestel analysis, multi-criteria analysis, cost-benefit analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, life-cycle assessment, environmental impact assessment, social life-cycle assessment, comparative analysis, etc. )
This depends on the data you are using.Is it panel or cross-sectional or time series.I am also writing a similar paper where i am using System GMM for panel data where N>T,but also you can consider using fully modified OLS or Dynamic panel OLS if time series aspect is more than the crosssectional N
