Medicinal trees are important source of alkaloids in the traditional system of medicine. Forests are rich source of variety of medicinal trees and some of them are in agricultural landscape as agroforestry trees. Can anybody suggests some good research papers or reference material on the topic .
Maybe we have know the definition of Silviculture and agroforesty. Silviculture and agroforesty have different means. Silviculture can means system or technique. Meanwhile agroforesty about land management. So, Silviculture and agroforesty of medicinal tree may technique planting of medicinal tree together with another tree or plant with short-time harvesting.
Thats all i mean
Silviculture is the practice of controlling the establishment, growth, composition, health, and quality of forests to meet diverse needs and values . AGROFORESTY is combination of trees,crop and /or animals in same field of land /area
Silviculture (....from Silvics) will be, regardless of the ethnobotany relating to the tree species in question, though one can talk of silviculture of tropical trees, ......of temperate trees, e.t.c.
