Thanks for your response, I also agree with the point and I have posted this mainly to understand about the high plant available in laterite soils and I am also more curious to understand the possible reasons for this high P . High Available P in Laterite soils, What are all the possible reasons ?Generally under laterite soils, availability of P will be reduced by Fixation of P. This will be further enhanced in acidic condition, since it gets fixed by free Fe and AL oxides. But in contrast, most of the soil analysis for available P showed, huge values of available P. I am looking at the possible reasons for such by analyzing the OC, C fractions, Fe and AL oxides, other nutrient parameters etc. Interested researchers can start a discussion on this and let us try to find a reason for this.
