Hi dear researchers, How important is the material of wehnelt cylinder in electron beam emitted from cathode? Instead of expensive materials like Platinum, tantalum or molybdenum, Can I use brass or stainless steel or any cheaper one? Thank you.
Don't use a material with a low melting point, unless you would choose to spend 10 days of work to save one dollar or a few rupees. As PK says, W would be ok.
P.K. Karmakar & w.s.l. Boyer Thanks for your answers. Actually question was because in our sketch we're going to use a machined part rather than aperture wehnelt.
