Thank you so much for this interesting question. To me, an original research paper, article or project is a research document which is based on fact or new knowledge. Unfortunately many researchers keep repeating what has been done in time past, such research cannot be termed original. Coming up with Novel or new knowledge in research is the answer. Thank you Dr.

To make my research to be original is to avoid the plagiarism and however, where I took something from the other sources such as pictures or among other things should be reference. Therefore, my research should not be similar with other students research, I have to apply my own idea. Thanks for considering this answers.

There are some major point that makes research original. 1. the issues that research is solving at that moment, (did the study solved the problem? can the it be replicated by another person and the same or better result will be obtained?) 2. The way the research is formulated (did the research follows standard? if experimental, did the equipment employed and the characterization done meet the standard?) 3. Has your research contributed to the bank of knowledge, either globally or locally. So if the article of research project could give answers to this few question then it is original and very significant. Thanks

The subjective view of the reader(s). It is amazing how often pompous reviewers will dismissive original contribution as no more than minor extension because they are unable to appreciate important nuance.
