There are many examples where one may observe that various scientists’ analyses results or even discoveries are then misused, distorted, changed or simply ignored in the organizations which are to benefit from the academics and other experts’ work, to process it, to popularize it or even to develop it.

(Eg. Institutes blamed in Climategate described by Harry Collins’ ‘Are we All Scientific Experts now?’ (2014) or American institutions ignoring research on the nourishing qualities of wheat described in William Davis’ ‘Wheat Belly…’ (2011))

Is it just political/corporate lobbying and ‘group thinking’ phenomenon or some other actors, interests, causes and processes responsible for that?
