Association and dissociation constants are important in interaction studies.

The kinetic parameters contains very vital information compared to equilibrium constants such as affinity.
Two interactions can have similar affinity but very different kinetics, which might make one of them useful and the other one not useful at all for a given application.
Check the attached paper to see the difference between kinetics on different cells for the same receptor-antibody interaction.
