What kind of force is acting on the Moon by the Earth and in what direction the force exerted and which force is responsible for the Moon revolving around the Earth?
Hello Rk, The quick answer is that Sir Isaac Newton made his breakthrough on the law of gravity when he realised that the force acting on the Moon was the same force which causes an apple to fall towards the Earth from a tree. It always acts towards the centre of the Earth, and there is no sideways force involved. The Moon goes round the Earth because it still has the angular momentum which was imparted to its material during the collision with 'Theia' which formed the Earth-Moon system as we know it.
If you don't know the answer to questions like that, I really feel you would do better to take a basic course in astronomy and get a grounding in it, rather than seeking answers piecemeal like this and trying to build up an understanding from them. Best wishes, Duncan.
