Procedure to grow and more flowers to asparagus plant.
Asparagus grows best in well-drained soils with a pH between 6.5 to 7.0 and does not tolerate extremely acidic soils. It can grow in heavy, medium, or sandy soils, as long as the soils must be well-drained and do not exhibit pooling water after rains.Water the bed to a 5-inch depth and let the water soak in overnight before planting. Plant the asparagus toward the back of the bed so it will act as a backdrop for more colorful flowers. Chicken manure, horse manure, and sheep manure are all good for asparagus. It is commonly added at the bottom of the planting trench for asparagus but can also be applied as an effective type of mulch. Maintenance levels of nitrogen in the range of 100 to 150 lb per acre should be sufficient to maximize yield. but nitrogen applications are commonly split between the preharvest and postharvest period.
